From engineers and project managers to offshore mooring superintendents and coordinators, Delmar Systems has more than 230 years combined experience in the offshore mooring and subsea development industry.
Offshore upper management consists of superintendents and coordinators. Our coordinators generally work aboard the rig, coordinating closely with the operator and drilling contractor representatives while directing the activity- of anchor handling crews aboard vessels working on the job. Our superintendents, the ranking individuals aboard an anchor handling vessel, have supervision over the Delmar crew and direct all activity as directed by the coordinator, drilling contractor, and/or operator representative.
Each of our superintendents and coordinators has risen through the ranks, starting their careers as riggers and proceeding through the ranks of welder and operator. Only the most dedicated, willing, experienced, and safety-conscious employees are promoted to the position of superintendent or coordinator. Rising to this rank takes approximately eight years on average. Due to this “in-house” development, Delmar’s superintendents and coordinators have gained sufficient experience to serve in either capacity as required by the particular scope of work.
Delmar’s onshore/offshore management structure includes a technical, engineering and subsea staff and an operations staff. Our technical and engineering staff includes degreed engineers in the field of Ocean Engineering with proven design experience including major offshore construction companies and drilling contractors.
Our operations staff includes the operations manager and assistant manager as well as a project manager, have an average experience of 25 years. Each of these individuals has extensive, hands-on experience not only in actual offshore mooring operations but also in worldwide project development and management.
All of the operations’ management staff and much of the technical and engineering staff have vast amount of hands-on offshore experience and many, like our superintendents and coordinators, have worked their way to these management positions over the years after having started their careers as first-tier offshore anchor riggers with the company.
